Wisdom to plan. Strategy to protect. Freedom to live.
Emrys Tax Advisors was built on a simple premise: every client deserves a tax advisor who is invested in their financial well-being—not just their annual return. We combine tax knowledge with a commitment to discretion, strategy, and long-term thinking.
“My job is not just to file your taxes. My job is to make sure you never pay more than you legally owe—and that you’re always positioned for what’s next.”
We serve individuals, business owners, ministry leaders, and investors across Virginia, Maryland, DC, and beyond. Whether you are facing an IRS issue, building a business, or planning for the future, we bring the knowledge and loyalty to guide you forward.
Your finances are private. Back taxes, notices, and hard years are handled quietly and professionally.
We think ahead: timing, structure, and planning so the outcome is shaped before a deadline arrives.
The goal is options: less tax stress, protected wealth, and room to focus on the life you are building.
Emrys Tax Advisors is the sister firm of G.H. Byrd Consulting, named for G.H. Byrd and Helen A. Byrd. In the late 1950s they founded G.H. Byrd Construction in Northern Virginia, and by the late 1960s and early 1970s it had become the largest construction company in the Oakton and Fairfax area.
They built it on values we still work by: keep a client’s business private, think further ahead than the job in front of you, and let the finished work speak for itself. Emrys brings those values to your taxes. G.H. Byrd brings them to your business.

Emrys handles your taxes and the IRS. G.H. Byrd Consulting handles the rest of the operating picture: bookkeeping, fractional CFO work, Virginia LLC formation, SBA and EIDL resolution, and business websites. One relationship, two specialists, the same values: discretion, strategy, results.
